Once and Future King – Hail Caesar Supplement with Special Agravain Miniature
King Arthur is often viewed as a mythical figure, surrounded by shining knights, cunning wizards, and magical swords. Yet, behind the legends, there may be a historical foundation. This exciting supplement explores the historical sources behind Arthur and offers all the rules and army lists needed to command a heroic British force defending the island against the Saxons, Picts, Scots, and Irish during the Dark Ages.
Bringing the heroes and villains of Arthurian legend to life, this supplement allows you to field iconic figures like King Arthur and his knights on the battlefield. Scenarios for Arthurs famous twelve battles are meticulously detailed, culminating in his final showdown at Camlann, where he faces his treacherous son, Mordred. The campaign system enables players to fight through these scenarios as a narrative-driven experience, with options to represent Arthur as a Welsh, Northern, Southern, or pan-British leader.
Additionally, you can dive into Geoffrey of Monmouths legendary (though often debated) version of Arthurs history. The supplement covers epic battles, including the climactic mass confrontation at Siesia, where Arthur and his allies take on the might of Rome and its Eastern allies.
As King Arthurs nephew and one of the Knights of the Round Table, Agravain is a deeply complex character whose presence in the Arthurian tales adds intrigue and drama. Hes an ideal addition to any Arthurian or Romano-British army collection, bringing both narrative depth and battlefield prowess.
Note: A copy of the Hail Caesar rulebook is required to use this supplement.
